Digital Marketing Assistant


I am working with a Public Sector Organisation based in Cornwall who are looking for a Digital Marketing Assistant for 6 Months Initially.

The role is full time, to start ASAP and paying up to £14.03 Umbrella per hour. The role is in scope of IR35.

Job Purpose


Working as part of the Marketing Team for the Innovation and Digital Directorate, this role will provide efficient and effective administrative, digital marketing and web content support across the Marketing Team.

The role requires a high level of competence, reliability and initiative to progress and complete tasks within the area of responsibility.

Duties and Responsibilities

Communications

  • To provide support to the Marketing Team communications plans by:
  • Assisting with the development and co-ordination of regular external digital communication through a variety of channels.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of specific communication campaigns.
  • Undertaking any other tasks deemed applicable and commensurate with the role as requested by the Marketing Manager or senior colleagues.
  • To assist in the production of relevant documentation, presentations, supporting information for staff, Elected Members and members of the public.
  • To provide regular reporting against digital campaign metrics
  • Costing and booking of media placements
  • Creating digital media content including Meta advertising, Google ads and keyword research

Website

  • To provide support with the maintenance and development of campaign webpages
  • To ensure that all web content is compliant with:
  • National accessibility standards
  • Corporate branding requirements
  • Web content is in plain English and meets readability standards
  • To provide support to the Marketing Team in ensuring that all publishing standards are met and that the quality and accuracy of the information is of the highest standard using the accessibility, branding and readability standards mentioned above under website.
  • To create the weekly resident update using Mailchimp, and provide support to other directorates issuing external communications through this platform.

Other

  • Attending campaign planning meetings across services to understand need of the clients.
  • Managing and prioritising own workload and determine appropriate responses to problems. This includes problem solving of potential disruptions and conflicting demands to ensure equity of support provision to all areas of the Directorate.
  • To undertake development and project tasks allocated by the Senior Managers in support of service development.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Appropriate qualification in, digital marketing or other appropriate disciplines and experience of working to a level which requires limited supervision
  • 4 GCSE's (A-C) or equivalent including English and Maths.
  • Ability to produce good quality, accurate creative content and other work within appropriate time period
  • Ability to liaise appropriately with all levels of professional staff within own department and externally, service users and others
  • Strong organisational and project management skills able to prioritise and timetable work and projects
