AWE are recruiting for Project Engineers to directly support our Engineering Management Team by maintaining the Design Intent and Design Information Configuration from facility design inception through to project handover to the operational phase.
This will include supporting the Engineering Manager's to provide facility designs, reviewing engineering requirements and preparing draft specifications and briefs.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the Engineering Manager in assessing the suitability of the facility design for the next phase of the lifecycle (e.g. tender; construction; commissioning; handover)
- Supporting the Engineering Manager in their delivery of their Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Supporting oversight of the facility design as it develops via facilitating routine reviews
- Supporting the Engineering Manager in managing the Design Intent and Design Information Configuration from inception through to project handover
- Providing functional support in identifying and implementing change, development and improvement
- Setting up meetings and reviews and managing stakeholders
- Gathering data and technical information to support the project
- Acting as first point of contact for technical queries
- Maintaining technical query and change registers
- Producing draft project governance documents; plans certificates etc.
- HNC/HND with suitable additional experience
- Ability to delivery of crossdiscipline design packages in a multidiscipline environment
- Capable of maintaining design information configuration control for the life of a project
- Some experience of delivering projects using structured methodologies
- Capable of supporting the role of Principal Designer under CDM Regulations
- Experience developing and delivering design solutions
