Role -Mechanical Design Engineer**Salary -
£30,000 to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Location -
FarehamMy client works within manufacturing and they are looking to take on a Mechanical Design, on a permanent basis, in the Fareham area.

Equipment Manufacturing - Design Engineering - Projects - Design for Manufacture - Mechanical Design - Research & Development

The Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

Degree or HND/HNC qualified in Mechanical Engineering / Mechanical Design / Product Design Engineering or similar
Industry experience working in similar mechanical design engineer role working on design for manufacture
Excellent knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials injection moulded plastics, sheet metal fabrication etc.
Excellent knowledge and proficiency with CAD software (Ideally Solidworks)

The Mechanical Design Engineer role will involve:

Designing both new products and updating existing products
developing detailed mechanical designs
Being involved in developing detailed mechanical designs
Liaising with colleagues, customers and suppliers to ensure projects are delivered ontime and within budget
Managing a variety of projects
Assisting colleague with any engineering or manufacturing issues that may arise
