    Description

    Electrical Design Engineer

    We are seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Southampton, working on a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days on-site every three weeks. This is a permanent role offering up to £55K (dependent on experience) + benefits.

    The ideal candidate will have a relevant electrical qualification and at least one year of experience in electrical design engineering, preferably within the Waste Water sector.

    The Role

    1. We require an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to manage all aspects of electrical design on various projects.
    2. Your key duties will include carrying out project-specific design deliverables, detailed design according to company procedures, and interpreting client requirements from drawings, specifications, and correspondence.
    3. You will communicate with clients, external design resources, and subcontractors, conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and optioneering, and prepare procurement specifications, construction drawings, and electrical scope documents.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Carrying out project-specific design deliverables
    • Interpreting client requirements from drawings, specifications, and correspondence
    • Communicating with clients, external design resources, and subcontractors
    • Conducting site surveys, feasibility studies, and optioneering
    • Preparing procurement specifications, construction drawings, and electrical scope documents

    What We're Looking For

    1. A relevant electrical qualification (or equivalent experience)
    2. Experience in electrical design engineering with at least 1 year experience within Waste Water projects
    3. Chartered Engineer status (desirable, but not essential)
    4. Proficiency in AMTECH, CAD, and industry-standard design tools
