Job Introduction


Responsibilities:

-
Service & Policy Design
  • Develop, review and improve homelessness prevention and moveon pathways tailored to specific cohorts of customers, who often face barriers to achieving a successful housing outcome.

Performance Management
  • Play a key role in embedding evidencebased decision making within the Housing service, recording, analysing and reporting data and intelligence to inform service development and identify areas for improvement.

Partnership Working
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of colleagues and external agencies to develop policies and procedures and achieve successful outcomes for customers.

Contract Management
  • Use evidence to identify gaps in provision, bid for additional funding, award and monitor contracts with external agencies and evaluate their success.

Budget Management
  • Manage a number of budgets and funding streams, ensuring compliance with all grant conditions and that funding is utilised efficiently and effectively.

Leadership

  • Inspire the team to deliver the best possible service to customers, providing expert advice and guidance where needed, whilst empowering them to develop their own skills, knowledge and experience.

Requirements:


  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, or a relevant professional housing qualification.
  • Experience of working in homelessness and advanced knowledge of relevant legislation, policy and practice.
  • Skilled and confident user of IT programmes, in particular Microsoft Excel, with experience of using IT to design and implement monitoring frameworks, analyse data, produce meaningful performance monitoring information and write reports for a variety of audiences.
  • Experience of multiagency and partnership working at both operational and strategic levels.
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems whilst working within the legislative and policy framework of the service.
  • Passionate about driving continuous improvement and using evidence to review and improve services.
  • Flexible and positive attitude, an organised and thorough approach to work, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Resilience and ability to work under pressure at times.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
