We have a fantastic opportunity registered with us for a Tax Assistant/ Tax Semi-Senior to join a large, single-site, thriving firm of Chartered Accountants based in Canterbury, Kent.

Founded over 80 years' ago, this firm has clients from a wide range of sectors, and they offer a variety of services to help their clients withmany aspects of their accounting needs.

With over 140+ staff, you will be working amongst some fantastic individuals who have been on the same career journey as you, with a defined sense of camaraderie amongst colleagues.


Key responsibilities:

  • Assisting clients with their tax compliance through the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns.
  • Liaising with clients when necessary and dealing with HMRC.
  • Opportunity to work with the team on planning and tax advisory tasks as you progress within the firm.
  • Encouraged to progress within the firm through the completion of your studies and through professional experience.
  • 2+ years Practice experience. This can be in a tax specific role or an accounts role. What you need is a Practice background and a passion to progress within tax.
  • Studying towards a professional qualification such as AAT/ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA.
  • Be eager to progress within the firm through the completion of your studies and experience gained.
  • Good written English and communication skills to facilitate efficient contact with clients.

Additional information:

  • Salary from £25,000 p/a to £32,000 p/a
