As the Transport Supervisor, you are responsible for implementing and maintaining compliance across all depots, offering supervisors and co-ordinators support in the day-to-day functions of a growing transport operation.
The Transport Supervisor will look to identify areas of improvement and smooth running of the day to day transport operationResponsibilities:
- Review FTA data and discuss actions with Supervisors
- Implement cost saving initiatives
- Ensure all vehicles and plant are maintained according to the required standard through assisting supervisors with improvement plans and targets
- Utilise Samsara to monitor telematics and driver behaviours on a weekly basis, ensuring repeat offenders are managed accordingly
- Coach drivers and members of staff operating plant equipment
- Manage daily walk arounds through a series of quality checks and mentoring
- Induct new starters to the business
- Ensure Legalities are met
- Maintain a high standard of compliance
- Run reports and analysis data
- Manage and maintain the commercial impact of site assets
- Analysis trends and form monthly reports for RTI's
- Assist the Head of Transport and plant with Site Audits
- Recruit where necessary
- Review Customer complaints and the outcomes
- Liaise with vehicle hire and repair companies
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
- Assist site staff to ensure smooth and efficient running
- Liaise and work with internal departments
- Number 2 for the Head of Transport and Plant
- Cooperate with the requirements of Lanesi in relation to health and safety and not inhibit our ability to meet our duties under the HSAWA
- Manage the plant engineers task lists
- Allocate plant to the relevant city
- Arrange all plant maintenance for unhired plant in the central storage area
- Manage Plant returns
- Audit plant usage throughout the network
- Manage damages on returned plant
- Control the delivery and collection of plant to the cities
- Ensure maintenance schedules are adhered too
- Manage the central plant stores
- Record and manage POR times and reasons
- Ensure the Defect process is complete and adhered too for all plant damages
- Assist the head of department in Auditing cities Plant audits
Skills & Experience Required:
- Transport experience
- Drivers Licence
