About the Role:


Base Location:
Glasgow - however our preference is that you will be based in one of our key UK or Ireland sites, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Glasgow, Perth, Aberdeen, Inverness, Reading, Havant, Belfast or Dublin.

Salary:
£37,600 - £56,400 + performance-related bonus + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

SSE Renewables are looking to grow our Planning team.

We are looking for Planners to join our team to work on a number of Projects, including Dogger Bank, the world's largest Offshore Wind Farm, and also to support our portfolio development pipeline through bids and business development work.


  • Develop and manage Primavera P6 project schedules within our Offshore Wind portfolio, as well as reviewing Contractor programmes and integrating these into the overall project schedule.
  • Assist Project Management decision making by providing clear and concise analysis of impacts of schedule delays and mitigation strategies. Assess and communicate schedule impact of project change control notifications, and schedule impact of progress reported at package level. Ensure that this information is visible to Project Management
  • Take part in Schedule Risk Analysis, both through deterministic Whatif scenario planning, and through use of quantitative Schedule Risk Analysis tools.
  • Work closely with Project Services Manager, other Planners and Project Management team to develop project programme reporting outputs in line with project management requirements.
  • Contribute to the Planning function's development of best practice processes and ways of working.

What do I need?:

To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:

  • A high level of competence in Primavera and Microsoft Project planning software.
  • Experience of working on a planning team on major construction projects.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to clearly and concisely explain the impacts of schedule changes on project delivery and business case to senior management.
  • Understanding and experience of Schedule Risk Analysis tools and techniques.
