Job Description:


The Head of Gas & LNG Markets will be responsible for leading a large team within our Global Gas & LNG business.

The individual will be responsible for a broad portfolio including setting the strategic direction of our Gas & LNG Markets solutions, leading an experienced group of Gas, LNG and energy experts, managing team-leads across multiple time-zones and ultimately contributing to the commercial success of our Gas & LNG business.

The role holder is responsible for ensuring deliverables are of a consistently high standard and meet the needs of our broad customer base.


This role reports to the head of Gas & LNG and will play a key part within the Gas & LNG leadership team, ultimately ensuring the success of our Gas & LNG business.


Main Responsibilities

  • Leading a diverse team, across many timezones and locations that is delivering great content to our customers as they navigate their way through the energy transition to a low carbon economy
  • Developing a highperformance culture and highly engaged team
  • Ensuring the quality of our markets analysis is maintained and enhanced meeting the changing needs of our customer base
  • Partnering with the Head of Assets and Head of Gas Analysis (senior SME) to deliver a research agenda that meets the needs of our customers
  • Ultimately accountable for Markets deliverables/solutions
  • Overseeing and managing projects to delivery more value to customers or create efficiency within our operations
  • Support the development of our next generation solutions
  • Work with peers across other segments (Power, Hydrogen, Oils and Refining, etc) to deliver integrated analysis
  • Maintain a range of seniorlevel relationships with clients and industry participants to enhance WoodMac's industry leading analysis and expertise
  • Become a leading voice of Wood Mackenzie's view on global gas markets at key external and internal industry events

Qualifications:


  • You are a proven leader with a passion for developing people, a track record in delivery and you thrive in a high performance, collaborative, commercial environment.
  • You understand gas and LNG market fundamentals and how the use of data, models and analytics can support decision making
  • Experience with near
- and long-term forecasting and the data and analytics that is required to develop our views and support customer needs.

  • Ability to present competently to customers, internal stakeholders providing insights related to complex data effectively.
  • A team player with natural curiosity, who thrives in a collaborative, analytical environment
  • You have extensive experience in and a passion for the energy industry
