The SMB Demand Planner will partner on managing the overall demand plan for all channels of Small Business. This demand plan will feed into the Commercial Trading team for Channel Target Setting and Commercial Trading.

As a key member of the SMB Channel Management and Demand team, you'll play a crucial role in forecasting and planning as accurate a demand signal as possible to ensure the smooth operation of our business.


It's an exciting period of growth for SMB, and this role will be critical to establish and drive brilliant practice for managing channel performance, maximising performance opportunities, and ensuring we grow efficiently.


What you'll be doing

  • The objective of the role is to deliver best in class demand planning to ensure forecast accuracy, forecast bias, financial alignment, and to drive the demand process in SMB effectively through identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Reporting into the Demand and Planning lead you will support in providing insights into the overall SMB planning cycle.
  • You'll manage forecasts (monitor, review, and identify opportunities to improve both bottom up and topdown forecasts).
  • You'll own the resourcing model for the sales teams and recommend changes to current outlooks based on future planning.
  • You'll collect data and analyse key performance metrics, market dynamics and complexities, areas of innovation/NPD to ensure a robust forecast.
  • You'll work closely with internal teams to collaboratively plan forward demand.
  • You'll determine opportunities to improve our forecast accuracy and bias with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • You will be a member of the demand planning community and attend key meetings and feed insight into the Channel Management and Demand Senior Manager as well as back into our local business unit.

What we would like to see on your CV

  • Experience of working within a trading environment advantageous (e.g. commercial, propositions, marketing, or sales management).
  • Proven experience in demand forecasting, preferably within a call centre or customer service environment.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical modelling tools (e.g., Excel, statistical software, data visualisation tools).
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.

Flexible Working
BT have moved to a hybrid working model - you can work from home 2 days per week. This means you'll be at your contractual location 3 days a week.
