We are recruiting for a Ophthalmology In-patient Administrator who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.

East and North Herts NHS Trust are currently looking for an administrator to work within our Ophthalmology in-patient area.

You will be responsible for data entry and pre operative preparation of confidential information onto the computerised database and medical notes.

Ensuring the data entry is accurate at all times is key, therefore you will have a high attention to detail.

You will also be responsible for the provision of a high-quality reception

This is a full-time role, based at our Lister Hospital site.

You will support the ward manager and the ward clinical team in ensuring a customer friendly approach is used in interactions with patients and stakeholders.

Supporting, the general running of the ward by being involved in general organisational and administrative activities.

A key part of this role is Management of Medical Records, ensuring that medical records are request on Trust Health recs database readily available for patients being admitted to the ward.

Responsible for updating and maintaining accurate complete patient data on the computer-based system (Lorenzo/Nervecentre) and medical records database (IFIT), and ensuring patient's records are kept up to date and in good condition, i.e., filing investigative reports correctly, supply of patient up to date patient labels.
