Description

To promote an awareness of the fundamental need for play as a part of a childs life and the United Nations acknowledgement of every childs right to play.

To create an attractive, child orientated environment in which play occurs naturally at all times.

To support the play team to assess, plan and implement individual programmes of activity for the babies, child and young people within the hospice.

To assist the Head of Hospice and Community services and Family Support Lead to implement relevant policies and processes, including reviewing practices to ensure they remain up to date in line organisational and national policies.

To lead play and activity related hospice events including Family Fun Days and annual Christmas party.

To liaise with shift co-ordinator to provide play sessions, outings and visitors to the hospice appropriate to the operational requirements of the shift.

To develop availability and access to memory making resources and ensure the play team.
