Senior HR Officer

FTC - 2 years & possibility of going permanent

Up to £38,000 & attractive benefits

Newark - flexible hybrid working

Full Time - 37 hours per week

SF Recruitment have partnered with a local organisation to find them a driven and enthuastic Senior HR Officer/Advisor.

They have recently put their HR long term plan in place to ensure they meet changing demands of the organisation and as part of this commitment, they have created this brand-new role You will join a good-sized busy HR team where you will take an operational lead in delivering on key areas of the HR strategy.


This is a super exciting role where you will support the team on day to day HR matters but mostly focus on key projects - in a range of areas from pay & reward, employee engagement, job evaluations and much more You will need a strong HR generalist background, have good project management skills and be ready to give this role your all It is a must you are self driven and able to adopt a partnering approach.


Duties within the role:

  • Take a lead role in delivering on key HR related projects
  • Engaging with leaders and managers of the organisation on a day to day basis
  • Research and present options appraisals for consideration and make recommendations for progression
  • Undertake risk assessments
  • Create and maintain project plans coordinate, monitor closely, met targets, report on progress and actions to barriers
  • Take an proactive approach when supporting managers to understand wider business objectives
  • Research and prepare reports on matters of HR and development related issues
  • Develop and implement an effective and comprehensive HR service
  • Actively work with service areas to identify and address learning/ development and employee engagement needs to include the design/development of intervention and delivery thereof
  • Participate in grievance, disciplinary, capability and other employee related investigations, hearings/meetings etc
  • Monitor budgetary expenditure and authorize payments within budgets
  • Represent them externally in relation to all areas of responsibility
  • Take a business partnering approach to work with managers to deliver effective HR solutions, provide quality advice and support managers on a range of HR issues
  • Review and update related policies
  • Act as coach and mentor to managers and employees
