A landmark facility in Belfast are seeking a Facilities Manager to oversee all PPM, Reactive and CapX projects

Hays are proud to be working with a large charitable trust in their recruitment of a Senior Facilities Manager for a prestigious Belfast facility.


Your new role
This is a newly created senior position within the estates team for a landmark building in central Belfast.

Reporting the Head of Estates & Facilities, this post is an integral part of the facilities team ensuring the highest standards of operational excellence for the building and associated external areas.

The post holder will lead and support two Facilities Managersand their teams of tradespeople and administrative staff, utilising a computerised maintenance management system in the execution of all planned, corrective & reactive maintenance activities.

You will also work closely with the Head of Estates & Facilities, in support of CAPEX projects, acting as Project Manager for both major and minor capital projects, overseeing the review, design, bidding and construction of the repairs or capital improvements.

What you'll need to succeed
To be eligible for this role you must meet the following criteria.

Essential Criteria:


Third level qualification [HND / Degree] in an engineering or facilities management related discipline with at least five years in a similar role at a senior management level.

OR
At least ten years in a similar role at a senior management level.

AND
Energetic and motivated leader with demonstrated experience of leading a team of facilities operatives.
Experience of managing and delivering CAPEX projects to established deadlines ensuring excellent attention to detail throughout.
Commercially strong with the ability to control costs while ensuring safe and efficient operations.
Strong IT knowledge, with Office Word and Excel.
Fully aware of all UK legislation effecting the operation of Properties including Fire, Water, Electrical and Asbestos.

Desirable:
Criteria IOSHH managing safety, with NEBOSH Diploma.
Knowledge of relevant guidance relating to safety at large public buildings or relevant facilities management qualifications.

What you'll get in return
Salary
Circa £50,000 per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.
