Shift pattern :
Rotational shifts: Monday - Sunday, 12 hour shifts

As part of the multidisciplinary team and without supervision, the post holder will assist with the provision of peri operative care in support of the registered practitioner with mínimal supervision.

The postholder will also perform duties in support of the registered practitioner, with mínimal supervision, that will enable the team to provide an effective and efficient service for neurosurgical and oral maxillofacial patients.

Your duties will include:
Provides and supports the delivery of specialist peri operative care with mínimal direction from the Registered Nurse / Practitioner.

Prepares peri operative area prior to use including setting up the clinical area and assembling and checking of specialised equipment and sundries.

Participates in department housekeeping duties to ensure effective day to day running of the department.

You should have

Ability to work with people as as part of a wider multidisciplinary team.

Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to fulfil criteria outlined in the job description including undertaking the departmental Healthcare Support Worker Competency Programme.

Evidence of additional workbased learning applicable in post eg Infection Control Champion Programme and / or healthcare related SVQ / NVQ learning.
