A 19-bed residential home is looking for a dedicated and experienced, empathetic, and friendly
Senior Care Assistant (Nights) to join their team.

About the benefits of the role:

Competitive pay starts at £11.80 an hour on weekdays and £12.05 on weekends.
Increment of £0.10 for NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
Increment of £0.15 for NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
Fulltime contracts are available.
A bonus of £2.00 an hour for exceeding contracted hours.

20 pence per mile fuel allowance if the journey is further than 15 miles.

Experience/Qualifications required:

Knowledge of an elderly care setting and the needs of older people.
Minimum 2 years of people management experience as a Senior.
Experience in working in a customerfocused environment.
Experience in delivering handson care.
NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or above desired.
On call for 2 days a week (must be close enough to return to work within 45 minutes)

Key Accountabilities:

Shift management.
Ensure medication is kept and the provision is completed in line with medical advice and legislation.
Care planning including reviews.
Delivery of rotas and ensuring adequate shift cover.
Compliance with company policies, CQC standards, and other legislation directly affecting the home and its residents.
Performance of the care team.
Identify and report any incidences of poor practice or abuse in line with the safeguarding policy.
Escalate concerns/issues to the Manager as appropriate.
