A 19-bed residential home is looking for a dedicated and experienced, empathetic, and friendly
Senior Care Assistant (Nights) to join their team.


About the benefits of the role:

  • Competitive pay starts at £11.80 an hour on weekdays and £12.05 on weekends.
  • Increment of £0.10 for NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care
  • Increment of £0.15 for NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care
  • Fulltime contracts are available.
  • A bonus of £2.00 an hour for exceeding contracted hours.

Experience/Qualifications required:


  • Knowledge of an elderly care setting and the needs of older people.
  • Minimum 2 years of people management experience as a Senior.
  • Experience in working in a customerfocused environment.
  • Experience in delivering handson care.
  • NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or above desired.
  • On call for 2 days a week (must be close enough to return to work within 45 minutes)

Key Accountabilities:


  • Shift management.
  • Ensure medication is kept and the provision is completed in line with medical advice and legislation.
  • Care planning including reviews.
  • Delivery of rotas and ensuring adequate shift cover.
  • Compliance with company policies, CQC standards, and other legislation directly affecting the home and its residents.
  • Performance of the care team.
  • Identify and report any incidences of poor practice or abuse in line with the safeguarding policy.
  • Escalate concerns/issues to the Manager as appropriate.
