We are looking for a Play Workerto join our supportive and talented team at King's Oak Academy.

We are a diverse multi-academy trust, looking for professional and ambitious people, with a passion for transforming our students' learning.

Actual starting salary is £12,948 per annum

Your role will include:

- developing, planning and organising play activities for children within our setting
- using play activities to help children to develop socially and emotionally
- setting up play equipment and making sure play areas are safe
- supervising children during play, dealing with any minor injuries
- liaising with parents or carers

Working closely with the class teacher and teaching partner to meet individuals' needs

Working hours typically start at 8.30am and finish at 3.00pm. This is a 30hr per week FT role, term time only.

What we are looking for:

To be successful in the post, we are looking for a Play Worker who will assist with the day-to-day management of play provision for children and young people.

They will provide a quality play care service responsive to the needs of children and their parents and within the framework of the provision's policies and procedures.

They will provide stimulating play opportunities. These will encourage children to learn, develop and express themselves.

They will set up and look after materials and resources, and make sure children are safely equipped to do an activity.

Alongside the class teacher and teaching partner, they will plan activities to support emotional and social development with play, as well as supporting other specific learning goals in the setting.
