My client is an award-winning leading transport distributor with multiple operations in the UK. They have a fantastic opportunity to join the team at the Newark operation.


Supporting the logistics team who operative on a 24/7 basis - Delivering the daily plan in an efficient and timely manner whilst maintaining full compliance in line with the companies SLA.


Responsibilities:


  • Implement a cost effective and efficient transport delivery plan that enables targets to be met and Customers to maintain production
  • Supporting with planning to ensure planned number of drivers are all available to complete the delivery plan
  • Brief and debrief of drivers via and ensure all drivers are 'signed off' for work and that all debrief information is captured and inputted into the companies tracking system
  • Escalate any issues / discrepancies to plan to the planning team and service delivery manager
  • Upkeep and update of all systems
  • Adhere to the site's adherence plan through Load List allocation, Special Bookings and daily management
  • Management & communication of all 3rd Party bookings
  • Follow the planned maintenance schedule to ensure company's fleet remains fully compliant whilst delivering operational efficiency, enabling all equipment to be maintained in the most costeffective way and in line with the business O licence under takings
  • Daily management & control of all resources including agency, Internal Support, Sub contractors to achieve trunking requirements.
  • Escalation of any shortfall of resource to Transport Planner and Service Delivery Manager
  • Be the point of contact & escalation for out of hours Customer Service enquires
  • Control, compilation and distribution of Handover amongst peers
  • Accountable for Daily management information
  • Support the Fleet Admin out of core hours with the daily management, update and distribution of Washout List and Register
  • Recording and actioning of defects or breakdowns in absence of Fleet Admin.
Experience

  • Understanding of vehicle compliance.
  • History of managing supplier relationships.
  • Good general proactive communicator.
  • Financial awareness.
  • Working in a challenging office environment.
