Job Description:

The Commercial Finance team are central to supporting the business through this continued expansion.

Headed up by Lizzy Palles-Clark (a Commercial Finance leader in Digital & Technology), the team is laser focused on embedding smarter, more sophisticated, data-driven decisions across Europe.

As the Head of Commercial Finance supporting International & Strategy, you'll be leading a team which supports leaders across the business who are at the forefront of our growth agenda.

Responsibilities will include:

Partnering with the VP Commercial for International, copiloting the delivery of the Intl budget P&L to hit growth and profitability targets
Business performance & trading updates (weekly & monthly cadence) creating a story from the numbers suitable for inflight decisionmaking (weekly trading) and wider business course correction (monthly/quarterly) including resource allocation & refocusing strategic projects; monthly narrative for Exec and Board consumption
Actively driving decisions informing investment levels in Performance Marketing and other acquisition, retention and monetisation drivers partnering with the Marketing team and Country Managers to ensure the balance of spend vs growth vs profitability is in line with budget, or that recommendations for divergences from budget are understood by the Exec team
Appraising economics of the business (segment or Group) for the purposes of external lobbying and/or regulatory submissions, joining dots across wideranging projects, crossgeography, crossindustry, crosscarrier, also crosspurpose (regulatory vs commercial)
Partnering with the Govt Relations and Legal teams for both the UK and International business segments on the production of reports to ensure consistency of approach between markets/projects, appropriate and defensible use of economic arguments and financial details, ensuring adequate escalation to the Disclosure Committee for sensitive information.
Tracking competitors and threats as input into annual strategy process including preparing slides for Exec team and Board
Detailed market research and / or development of business cases on areas of strategic focus; frequently involves working with ambiguous briefs and creating structured thinking and modelling out of highly speculative business cases, creating frameworks for assessing highlevel risks/opps for investment
Ad hoc targeted research to support strategic

Leading and developing a team of 4x ComFin business partners in the International Consumer business and leading for ComFin on Supply Strategy and Regulatory projects.

Qualifications:

You will be an ambitious, motivated and highly accountable ComFin professional with 10+ yrs experience leading teams at a senior level, preparing Exec
- and Board-ready outputs, delivering business results in a fast-paced growth organisation. This role is for the third member of the ComFin VP's leadership team, partnering with commercial owners across the business and reporting to VP of Finance.
