Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced healthcare professional from a learning disabilities background and with a passion for education to join the School of Nursing.
You will contribute to the development and delivery of a range of modules at different academic levels (4-7), across the areas of learning disabilities, including those on our pre-registration FdSc Nursing Associate and BSc (Hons) and MSc courses, and post-qualifying BSc/MSc Healthcare Practice and MSc Advanced Clinical Practice programmes.
The Person:
You are likely to be a nurse or allied health professional with current professional registration and a Master's degree in an aspect of healthcare (or be working towards this).
It is also likely that you will hold a teaching qualification such as the UKPSF2 or PGCHE, but if not you will be willing to undertake our in-house teaching programme during your probationary period.
You will be creative, enthusiastic and flexible, with excellent communication skills and an ability to inspire and teach a diverse range of students at different stages in their professional career.
You may be an established lecturer, or highly experienced practitioner or practice educator with a keen interest in higher education.

This is a permanent, part-time role working 18.5 hours per week (50% of the full-time equivalent), with a starting salary of £21,091 per annum Lecturers (50% of the full time equivalent of £42,182) and £23,502 per annum Senior Lecturers (50% of the full time equivalent of £47,004).
