Our client is looking for a Timekeeper and Well Accounts Assistant for a 12 month contract position, located in Aberdeen (Hybrid Working)ROLE
Responsible for checking time entry of the Well Engineering population, including both staff and contractors. Challenging & updating as required. Producing Client time and cost reports in line with Client contracts.
Further duties to support the Senior Well Accountants and Well Accountants in delivering a best in class project services support to be determined based on workload.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Timekeeping
- Support collation of timesheet input and information for Wells and Decom population;
- Support input of time into Oracle
- Interrogate timesheet content to ensure accuracy in line with specific project requirements
- Ensure valid comments are against time in Oracle
- Chase Personnel on late time/time not submitted etc
- Follow up with personnel if incorrect time is booked, ensuring corrections are made in a timely manner as needed. Highlighting to relevant WA.
- Collation of weekly / monthly Client time and cost reports
- Act as a single point of contact for all time related queries
- Clearance of invalid time against valid codes and project approvals
- Train new personnel with time entry process
Well Accounts Assistant
- Assist with checking Central finance mailbox
- To collate and raise Sales invoices in Oracle.
- To check and contract compliance Consultant purchase invoices.
- Contract compliance and review of thirdparty supplier invoices
- To monitor actual expenditure against call offs and contracts and to advise Well Accountant of any overspend prompting timely revisions as required.
- Assistant point of contact for all client, vendor, consultant financial and invoicing queries.
- Assist Wells Accountant with information for preparation of well reconciliation and cost analysis dependent on client requirements.
- Close liaison with other departments to ensure a thorough understanding of the business processes as they relate to wells accounting requirements. Develop strong working relationships with all members of the Well Engineering Team.
- General assistance to Well Accountants.
- Perform ad hoc duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Previous Accounts Assistant experience advantageous
- Experience of working on an ERP system advantageous
- Excellent excel skills
- Good communication skills with all levels of staff
- Numerate, analytical, with an inquisitive background and strong attention to detail.
- Computer literate with a good understanding of Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Ability to work under pressure and to deliver objectives and deliverables to deadlines,
- Ability to prioritise workload and demonstrate good time management skills.
- Ability to build and develop excellent client and offshore working relationships.
