Fixed Term - 12 months

Finance & Corporate Services - RISC
**Swindon, Billingham, or Newport
- flexible and remote working options**
Band D: £30,283 - £39,265 DOE

The Information Management Support Officer plays a vital role in both the Information Management Team and the RISC team as well as the in the wider business with regards to ensuring the organisation meets its obligations under the Data Protection Act 2018 as both a Data Controller and a Data Processor


Other responsibilities include:

  • Responding to Data Subject Rights, Freedom of Information and Environmental Information Requests within the regulatory timescales.
  • Reporting, investigating, analysing, and documenting all data incidents and breaches reported to the Information Management team including root cause analysis within agreed SLAs.
  • Supporting the Information Management team with implementation and maintenance of compliance with the Records Management policy and schedule.
  • Assist the Information Management Specialist with the review of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and maintenance of the Record of Processing Activity (RoPA)
  • Be a specialist point of contact for advice and guidance regarding information management for all business areas.


This role may suit someone already working in a similar environment but wanting to expand their knowledge and depth of skills or maybe you are looking for your next career step.

Either way if you can demonstrate the following skills and experience, we would love to hear from you:


  • Experience of working in an office environment where you will have gained knowledge of standard office processing in areas such as human resources, finance, procurement, IT and/or customer services
  • Have the skills and ability to identify anomalies, process failures and areas for improvement and the confidence to professionally challenge when required
  • Experience of influencing stakeholders and driving change
  • Experience of working in an assurance/compliance function
  • Foundation knowledge of GDPR and Information Management


In return for your skills and experience we can offer you flexible and remote working options for a 37hr week with start and finish times between 8am - 6pm.

Our team usually work from home and come into the office once a week, but we are flexible on this too.

If it helps, there is even flexibility on which office you base yourself from - Swindon or Newport.
