JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Purpose:

Transport children to and from school in the morning and afternoon, ensuring they arrive on time and in a safe manner on a daily basis.

Monitoring:
As specified by the Head Teacher and in accordance with the school calendar Meeting/

Training Attendance:
As directed

Critical Responsibilities

Transport pupils of Active Wellbeing School; collecting pupils at their individual home addresses and transporting them to the school in Tunstall in a timely manner in advance of the school day commencing.
Collecting the children from Active Wellbeing School in the afternoon to take the children home.
Supervise school children in accordance with the school's policy so that the highest expectations in relation to safeguarding are maintained.
Deal with any immediate problems or emergencies in accordance with the school's policies and procedures to ensure that student / employee safety is assured.
Oversee and ensure vehicle maintenance and upkeep in line with health and safety and compliance requirements; alerting the Head Teacher of any maintenance required to ensure the vehicle remains roadworthy.
You will be required to leave the minibus onsite after the morning drop off and make your own way back to site ready to transport the children home in the afternoon.
You will not be permitted to use the vehicle for personal use.

This job description may be amended in line with changing service requirements. In such circumstances, any amendments will be discussed with the post holder.
