Up to 37.5 hours per week 8A or Up to 30hrs 8b (full/part time)
The post holder will work within the Persistent Physical Symptoms Service (PPSS), part of the Department of Physical Health and Rehabilitation Psychology.
The post holder will work primarily within PPSS, but may also have the opportunity to offer up to 4 sessions per week within the Long Covid Service.
The Department offers specialist psychological input across Cumbria to patients with health problems, and associated psychological difficulty.
PHRP aims to promote psychological wellbeing for patients with Long Term Conditions (LTCs), for example COPD, coronary disease, diabetes, cancer needs, as well as those with medically unexplained symptoms and chronic illness.
The pathway will work across secondary and primary care with interface with acute services, providing therapy and indirect care to patients with a combination of physical health problems and psychological problems.
This post will contribute to this service aim and promote:
- Integrated working in primary and secondary care, across the heath economy/ICC
- Collaborative work with other professionals
- Teaching
- Training
- Supervision

Disclosure and Barring Service:

£18 + Administration cost of £3.85 = £21.85. Deducted at £6.85 from 1st month salary and £5 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
Enhanced Check:
£38 + administration cost of £3.90 = £41.90. Deducted at £11.90 from 1st month salary and £10 deducted from salary over following 3 months.
