We're growing fast and so we're looking for another Senior Strategist
to join our team and work across our Guinness account.


An icon in the advertising world, we've been working with Guinness over the last few years to build a social presence with community at it's heart that's helped them become Britain's most popular pint.

In this role, you'll work across multiple markets for the brand, leading their social strategy alongside an ambitious and fast paced team.

Strategists at Born Social, are those who get their kicks from the thinking over the doing.

Those who have a deep understanding of how social platforms work and how brands can drive tangible value from them.

Those who actually get excited by a killer deck - and understand how to best present it to senior client teams.

You'll pore over the brief, dissect the problem and identify the opportunity - creating a social strategy with effectiveness right at its core.

You'll then be responsible for working with the Account Team, ensuring it gets delivered as intended, being an integral part of client conversations and stakeholder management.

You'll get a chance to develop the strategy team by onboarding and leading strategists and supporting team-wide initiatives, develop and uphold the level of social-first strategy in the agency.

You'll report to a Strategy Director, but take total responsibility for your projects. We don't specialise in any particular sector, meaning any given brief presents completely new challenges and opportunities.


What you'll be doing:


  • Delivering effective and actionable socialfirst strategy on a global and local levels, informed by social insight, qual/quant research, competitive & market analysis & social trends/behaviours
  • Confidently educating and selling strategy to clients and senior stakeholders in workshops, and developing relationships within senior client teams
  • Contributing to the long term health of key accounts by consulting on projects and campaign work to deliver bestinclass, socialfirst creative output
  • Working with Seniors/Directors/Heads Of to evolve processes to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the strategy team and relevant account teams, through team education and agencywide thoughtleadership
Supporting the hiring and onboarding of new strategists, and taking on their people leadership when required


Who we're looking for:


  • You've got a minimum of 34 years agency experience in a strategy or account planning role (ideally working with FMCG and alcohol brands)
  • You have a deep understanding of social media and how it can be harnessed for a variety of businesses with a track record of delivering industry leading, socialfirst work
  • You've got a proven ability to conduct indepth research and develop actionable insights
  • You understand various strategy + insight frameworks
  • You have a proven ability to develop engaging strategic narratives for industryleading brands and take clients on a journey to sell your thinking
  • You have a keen interest in team development, people and leadership
You've got strong deck writing, formatting and presentation skills
