Job Role:

Leading a team of Production or Packing Operatives to meet daily production plans. Working closely with the Production Manager, other Team Leaders, Technical Team and other departments as necessary.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure products that are produced / packed are made to a high standard and on time with the production plan.
  • Ensure quality targets are met and waste reduction is kept to a minimum.
  • Work closely with the technical team in ensuring consistency of product safety and quality.
  • To support other members of your team to meet production deadlines.
  • Adhere to company's procedures relating to food safety culture.
  • Follow the company's Health and Safety policy when reporting accidents or near miss incidents and have a general awareness of H&S in the workplace.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures and participate in any training offered throughout your employment.
  • Manage employee issues with Production Manager and keep HR involved where appropriate.
  • Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and housekeeping at all times.
  • To support colleagues in reaching the BRC Audit standards
  • Ensure all paperwork and traceability records are accurately recorded both in hard copies and electronically.
  • Ensure correct utilization of man power on the production and raise concerns in a timely manager with the Production Manager
  • Work with the SME to train and provide guidance to production / packing staff.

Person Specification and Key requirements

  • Previous experience of working in a food production environment
  • Experience in leading a team
  • Good level of spoken and written English
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good time management
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Ability to work across departments
  • Knowledge of food hygiene standards

Shift - 2:30pm - 11:30pm Mon-Fri (1 weekend a month)

Rate of Pay - Up to £14.50ph DOE
