Job Title:
Functional Skills Tutor

Location:
Derbyshire - Centre based

Salary:
up to £35,000 (some flexibility DOE)

Type:
Full-time, Permanent

Duties:

Deliver Functional Skills English and/or Maths (up to Level 2) within a classroom environment.
Utilise existing delivery resources, as well as preparing own when required.
Deliver engaging training sessions and provide ongoing IAG to learners.
Assist learners in identifying the skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.
Promote Equality and Diversity, Safeguarding and Health and Safety.

Essential Criteria:

Must hold a recognised Teaching qualification at Level 3 or above.
Must have experience of delivering GCSE / Functional Skills Maths and/or English.
Hold a Maths or English level 3 or equivalent.
Ideally have experience of delivering training/workshops to groups of learners
Demonstrable energy and passion to motivate and train clients.
Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Demonstrate confidence, tenacity and ability to work on own initiative.
