Head of Web and Digital Performance Marketing / £42,500 - £53,000 DOE


The Head of Web and Digital Performance Marketing is responsible for ensuring that the Group's digital marketing technology stack provide best in class, global experiences that delivers to the ever-changing needs of our diverse and digitally connected users.


Continually iterating a web and apps framework and roadmap, you will translate the Group and marketing vision into a marketing technological implementation that is both user focused and effectively delivers on marketing goals.

In order to achieve this, you will be accountable for maximisation of workflow, optimisation of user journeys, and the delivery of visually effective and relatable digital experiences.


You will also ensure that the Group's externally facing web estate is compliant including Accessibility, Consumer Law and Data protection.

The role requires both exceptional project management skills and excellent digital skills and knowledge. Fundamental tothe success of this role is an attitude and approach that inspires high performance.


The ability to create a high performing team that has the appropriate focus, direction and support is key to the role.


Strong communication and the desire to build and maintain good working relationships are critical as the role combines the need to develop excellent relationships with key internal business partners across the organisation, whilst building strong and supportiveworking relationships across the team.


Responsibilities:


  • To lead the development and implementation of a userfocused web and apps marketing strategy and operational plans that clearly sets the stage for a marketleading marketing tech stack that optimises the brand hierarchy, Group portfolio and delivers bestinclass user experiences. This will involve undertaking ongoing consultation, audit and review of current performance against the ongoing developments and needs of the Group.
  • Own all associated programme management, including road mapping and building out of testing, data security (with Digital Services and Legal colleagues), automation and optimisation, and product enhancements.
  • Develop short and long term plans to ensure that key resource peaks from high level web upgrades to annual activities such as clearing and course upgrades are mapped, resourced and effectively managed.
  • Working closely with the Head of Marketing Content, create, develop and manage a digital content strategy and associated metrics to improve performance against a set of agreed key performance indicators.
  • Develop and oversee the provision of regular management and operational reports on site and apps developments and KPIs across all parts of the website and apps, providing actionable insight and recommendations to maximise return on investment.
  • Utilising user centred design, constantly review the user experience of the Group's sites to maximise conversion rates, optimise journeys, SEO, increase user engagement and identify trends.
  • Ensure metrics are constantly used in considering changes to the website, including working with the Campaign
  • Significant relevant experience or educated to degree level with relevant experience.
  • Experience of working in a senior web/digital marketing technology role.
  • Experience of managing digital governance and workflows.
  • Oversight of the development and management of large web projects, apps and agile deployment schedules
  • Experience of managing and developing a high performing team.
  • Demonstrable track record of commercial writing and editing for the web with a strong understanding of SEO.
  • Experience of interpreting brand guidelines / requirements and adjusting these for web needs.
  • Experience in using data and insights to make evidencebased decisions and plans.
  • Legal compliance management including data protection, Web accessibility (W3C compliance), consumer law.
