Description

We believe that everyone deserves a chance in life to become who they want to be regardless of their situation, and with the support and guidance from our dedicated team of staff with over two decades of knowledge, we believe we can achieve positive outcomes for all.

AMAT have been ever present in the homeless sector offering supported accommodation to the people in Kent, and are pleased to say we have not and would not furlough any staff during lockdowns due to the nature of the work we do, and the fact that we operate all year round. We are currently looking to recruit a Housing Services Team Member to join our amazing team.

The focus of this position is to ensure our properties within an allocated group are secure and fit for purpose.

To achieve this, you will carry out daily house checks of all properties such as checking that the water is running, fire extinguishers are put up, heating is working etc.

Monitor health and safety in the property and raising any concerns straight away, carry out minor repairs within your ability, and report any major repairs required to our maintenance department.

You will also complete room checks, collect service user signatures and rent payments on a weekly basis, deal with any incidents of anti-social behaviour, and assist with any internal moves that need to take place.

The hours for this position are 37.5 per week, which normally includes day shifts that are 8.30am - 5.00pm, or 9.00am-5:30pm, and a minimum of one later shift a week which is 12.30pm - 9.00pm.

You will work five days over seven, with a minimum of 1 in 4 weekends.

At AMAT, we are focused on delivering the best service we can to our service users, and operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year service in order to achieve this.

As such, you will be required to work bank holidays (including Christmas day and New Year's Day) on a rota basis.

Therefore, flexibility really is key to this role

  • 28 days annual leave, rising in increments to 33 days
  • A contributory workplace pension scheme, in which AMAT will contribute the equivalent of 3% of your pensionable salary
  • Comprehensive training package including both inhouse classroom and E-Learning courses, which have been tailored to develop the skills and knowledge needed to work at AMAT
  • Regular 12 weekly line management supervisions, and development focused annual appraisals
  • AMAT's Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) is available to all staff
  • Access to an online employee financial wellbeing hub
  • Free tea/coffee for all staff
This is a very varied role, and if you are looking for a challenge and want to make a difference, we look forward to hearing from you
