EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW


Are you passionate about optimising water distribution infrastructure? Do you thrive in leading teams towards operational excellence? Severn Trent is seeking a dynamic individual to join us as a Network Optimisation Lead.


Your primary objective will be to lead a team dedicated to proactively optimising the operation of our distribution water infrastructure and assets, ensuring the highest quality of water supply to our customers.


Some of your other key accountabilities will include:

  • You will lead a team of optimisation technicians and specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Be able to provide, maintain, and develop capabilities in monitoring, evaluating, and optimising distribution water operational assets.
  • Promote health, safety, and wellbeing within the team, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols.
  • Have the ability to mentor, coach, and develop team members, ensuring their commitment to personal and professional growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities across all workstreams, fostering a culture of innovation.
  • Deliver improvements to customer supply and key performance commitments while prioritising operational risks and assist in assessing their impact on total expenditure (TOTEX).
  • Develop, maintain, and improve operational contingency plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Oversee validation and maintenance of operational data within key corporate systems.
  • Share lessons learned and reward success to promote a culture of learning and excellence.
  • You will manage operational budget effectively to optimise resources and achieve objectives.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE


To be successful in this role, you'll ideally have proven stakeholder management experience at all levels and be someone who will implement technical development and take pride in leading our optimisation team whilst thinking strategically to drive sustained performance, prioritise and adapt to conflicting priorities and communicate complex issues clearly and concisely.


Additionally, you should have the ability work collaboratively to deliver improvements and be able to think creatively to develop new ideas and concepts while showing excellent problem solving, planning and organisation skills.
