Brookside Group Practice is a training practice, we use the EMIS Clinical system and have a strong emphasis on proactive teamwork.

We have a permanent position for a Paramedic who can provide the following services:
Undertake acute assessments of patients within their own homes, making clinical judgements as to their further treatment e.g. referral to hospital, GP, community matron, falls clinic etc. Discussing treatment plan with usual GP as appropriate.

Prescribing medications to patients in line with local PSD. Ordering x-rays and requesting further investigations.

Take a holistic approach to patient care, bringing together their medical, social and psychological needs and referring patients to alternative health and/or social needs.

Treating minor illness and minor injury within an unscheduled care environment or in the patients home.

Promote patient health through prevention and education, in line with practice, local and NHS priorities and policies.

Empowering patients to take responsibility for managing their own care and treatment where it is safe and appropriate to do so Please refer to uploaded job description for further details.
