Description
We have an opportunity for a
Supervisor to join our WPS team in the
Specialist Division, primarily on our Met Police estate refurbishment contract along with the other contracts covered by the division such as Dangerous Structures and Civic building works.
Key Accountabilities will include:
- To lead a team of, operatives, working forepersons
- Managing and coordination of multiple contractors delivering works
- Carry out weekly site audits (IMS) and action findings
- Manage, monitor, review and oversee customer satisfaction
- Meeting key performance indicators in accordance with contract
- Attend preinspection works and advise operatives on job specifics
- Attend post inspection works and inspect workmanship; compliance with TQP.
- Responsible for checking operative's booking sheets and time sheets ensuring they are completed correctly, accurately and timely
- Coach and advise operatives on good working practices
- Build and maintain good working relationships with client representative, attending client meetings
- Ensure that operatives are dressed in company livery including PPE, that company vans are clean and tidy and ID passes are always worn
- Responsible for ensuring operatives adhere to Wates policies and procedures
In addition you will have:
- A good general construction knowledge
- Repairs and maintenance sector experience
- A proven track record in managing large projects requiring coordination and cooperation of contractors
- A proven track record in managing a large and diverse direct labour team and Supply Chain
- A proven track record in Health and Safety Management, holding a current SMSTS or SSSTS certificate
We are looking for you to already have the relevant experience to fulfil the above role requirements and have worked at a supervisory level.
To be successful in the role you also be an excellent communicator with the ability to problem solve, multi task and work to tight deadlines.
