We are now offering a fantastic opportunity to join the Grimsby Institute in the role of Work Based Trainer (Plumbing).
About the role
We are looking to appoint a Work Based Trainer with industry experience and skills within plumbing, heating and gas to join a well-established apprenticeship team.
You will provide high quality and responsive training, support, coaching and mentoring to a caseload of apprentices, developing their knowledge, skills and behaviours and prepare apprentices for End Point Assessment.
This is an exciting role, within an employer responsive provision which puts community at the heart of its operations.Duties will include:
- Managing a caseload of apprentices ensuring timely achievement
- Coordinate all aspects of the apprenticeship programme, working closely with all internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring on and off the job is contextualised and meets the required standards
- Regular attendance in the workplace to support the development of knowledge, skills and behaviours
- Monitor learner progress and ensure regular reviews are completed
- Provide excellent customer service and engage employers at all stages of the apprentice journey
- Provide training, support and guidance in preparation for end point assessment
- Maintain learners records accurately
- Complete all required administration, including eportfolio and college record systems and processes
About the person
- An apprenticeship or other relevant industry related qualifications at level 3 or above
- Industry experience within plumbing
- ICT competency
Desirable but not essential skills:
- TAQA/Assessor award
- Teaching or training qualifications
- Knowledge of apprenticeship standards
