We're looking for a Senior UI Artist to join our experienced and highly creative UI UX & Brand team working across a number of exciting new console and PC titles.
The team look after all things UI, UX and branding, including, UX flows, wireframes, accessibility, UI concepts, motion design, illustration and branding.
The role is also open to Mid Level UI Artists looking to make their next career move.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other developers to create high quality menus, icons, art assets and ingame UI elements under the direction of the UI Director and Art Director
- Work with style guides to create assets which maintain a consistent UI art direction
- Iterate on feedback to improve the user experience and maintain a high standard of quality
- Integrate UI elements directly into the game engine
- Mentor less experienced members of the team
- Keep up to date with trends within games and UI design
Required Skills/Experience
- Demonstrable knowledge of UI design
- Experience of working on at least one AAA title
- Excellent knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
- Good graphic design skills, including layout, typography and colour theory
- Skilled at icon design and conceptualising ideas
- Good problemsolving skills with the ability to suggest creative solutions
- Selfmotivated, excellent communication skills, and a great teamplayer attitude
- Willingness to learn new tools and techniques in order to grow within the role
Bonus points
- Traditional 2D drawing skills.
- Experience of game engines such as Unity or Unreal Engine
- Knowledge of Adobe After Effects
- Wireframe and prototype experience
- A passion for video games
Important
The interview process for the Senior UI Artist roles is made up of 2 stages:
- First interview minutes)
- An interview to discuss your experience and working history relating to the position with our Principal UI Artist and UI Art Director. In return, we will provide a full overview of the role, life at the studio as well as answer any questions you may have.
- Final interview (30 minutes)
- A final Interview with our Studio Head and Studio Production Director. This will be a chance for you to get to know the Senior Management team and all the things that make Lucid, Lucid You will have a lot of opportunities to ask any questions about the studio and Culture.
