Average 16 Hours Per Week

Grade 2 £10.90 per hour

We are looking for an Events Assistant at Ellesmere Port Civic Hall. Your responsibilities will include;

  • To set up various activities/events, across multiple areas
  • To assist with the smooth operation of activities/events
  • To operate specific equipment, such as tiered seating structures and staging units
  • Undertake cleaning, washing, sweeping, vacuum cleaning, emptying of litter bins, polishing and dusting of the designated areas including bar, toilet and external areas, fixtures and fittings using appropriate equipment
  • To ensure the building security, opening/locking up all areas as per the facility programme
  • Ensure all areas and activities, as outlined in the Centre's programme, are inspected prior to use and are set up in accordance with the hirers requirements
  • To carry out duties in accordance with the specified procedures, including those outlined in the operations manual. COSHH, accident reporting and risk assessments
  • To ensure all Health & Safety regulations are adhered to at all times
  • To use any machinery provided to carry out your duties
  • Ensure that all machinery used is cleaned and stored in the correct manner in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions
  • To ensure that when supplies of stock materials need replenishing, this is reported to the supervisor
  • Reporting any defects of the building or equipment as and when found and isolating these in event of compromising health and safety, in accordance with site procedures

Requirements:


  • You must have excellent communication skills with a passion for delivering excellent customer service
  • Working hours are on a rota system which includes weekend hours.
