Key responsibilities:


Legal Support:

  • Become a valuable member of our legal team by assisting with daytoday activities. This includes preparing and drafting legal correspondence, conducting research on various legal topics, and helping with filing documents at Companies House.
  • Get handson experience in contract drafting and amending. You'll use standard templates, track changes, and compare and contrast techniques, ensuring we use the right terms, descriptions, signature blocks, and schedules.
  • Embrace our modern approach to contract signing by preparing contracts for esignature on DocuSign through our contract automation platform Ironclad.
  • Work closely with external solicitors and internal departments to gather evidence and progress personal injury litigation cases, create new case files, and maintain existing case filing with care.
  • Take ownership of our Legal SharePoint and Ironclad platforms, collaborating with the legal team to keep legal guidance and contract templates up to date.
  • Administrative Support:
  • Support our General Counsel by providing PA services, such as diary management, arranging travel bookings, and processing expenses.
  • Offer a helping hand to other members of the legal department, providing various administrative services as needed. You'll also keep track of team holidays and training sessions.
  • Be a friendly and knowledgeable point of contact for any queries from colleagues across the company, resolving them accurately and promptly.
  • Play a crucial role in organizing meetings, trainings, room bookings, and catering arrangements. You'll also ensure smooth IT and technical support during events, collaborating with other departments' PAs and team assistants for seamless coordination.
  • Take charge of setting up and keeping track of Legal Team meetings, making sure they run on schedule.
  • Be the expert in handling purchase orders for the legal department. Efficiently manage them and handle SAP web cycles to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  • Be on top of things when it comes to dealing with internal and external mail, prioritizing incoming papers and requests in a timely manner.
  • Get creative Help in putting together engaging presentations for various events using PowerPoint.
  • Essential qualifications and skills:
  • Legal education: We're looking for someone with a Law degree or the Graduate Diploma in Law. Legal Practice Course or a Higher Professional Diploma in Law (CILEX) qualification are not essential but could be an advantage.
  • Previous legal experience: Whether you've worked as a legal executive, paralegal, legal secretary, or team assistant in a law firm or inhouse legal team, we need someone who has experience working in a fastpaced, peopleoriented environment.
  • Techsavvy: Advanced Microsoft Office skills are essential for this role, especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Communication and organisation: Great communication and organizational skills are highly valued in the team. Attention to detail, accuracy, methodical approaches and strong record management are all vital to succeed in this role.
