This post is fixed term for 18 months due to funding.


If you are a Swansea Bay University Health Board employee this post will only be offered on a secondment basis and you will need to have gained your line managers approval for the secondment prior to going to interview.


To provide professional audio-visual multimedia support, including the production of video media, graphics and design to the Transformation team and Medical Illustration department based in Morriston Hospital.


The post holder will participate in all aspects of clinical, specialist clinical, scientific and nonclinical photography, including video, copy work, reprographic and multi-media imaging.

The post holder will be responsible and accountable for the training, supervision and appraisal of junior clinical photography staff.


The post holder will be responsible for the monitoring of clinical photographic workflows and reporting issues associated with the latter.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Main Responsibilities:


To undertake in all aspects of medical/clinical, research, medical legal, safeguarding, trauma photography of adults and children in a variety of site locations.

To undertake some non-clinical photography when required.


To undertake clinical photography in studio locations, wards, outpatient clinics, operating theatre's and any other clinical location as requested and guided by standard departmental operating procedures.


To produce high quality digital images using advanced technical skills in computerised image manipulation, ensuring that reproduction is accurate and in accordance with departmental procedures.
