Edenvale Recruitment are currently recruiting for a hard-working and reliable
Senior Housing Management Worker to join our client's team on a permanent basis in supported residential services around
Corby.


As a
Senior Housing Management Worker your role will be to lead the team of Housing Management Workers across the Corby area, ensuring the efficient and effective management of the supported housing.

Liaising with management on a regular basis to ensure staff work consistently and to a high standard in the delivery of services.


Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Resolving of problems and discrepancies with residents on housing benefit and other social benefits.
  • Dealing with any complaints and appeals
  • Work towards achieving a target of 99% occupancy at all times for supported accommodation.
  • To work in partnership with other agencies when necessary.
  • Ensure confidentiality of residents is always respected.
  • Oversee management of staff responding to alleged infringements of house rules and licence agreement.
  • Ensure resident's supervision and risk assessments are carried out on a regular basis and are effective and efficient.
  • Ensure that all staff reporting to the post are recruited, trained, managed, appraised, and developed in accordance with internal and statutory policies and procedures and in an effective and sensitive manner.

We are looking for someone with:

  • NVQ Level 3/4 in Social Care or equivalent
  • 2 years previous experience in a senior role
  • 1 year's previous experience working with vulnerable people
  • Experience or knowledge of the Housing Sector, including Housing Benefits
  • Ability to write clear and concise reports
  • Flexibility with working hours
  • Valid UK Driving License with access to own vehicle
The hours are 37.5 hours per week and may include the occasional waking night/sleep in where required.

You will be required to work evenings and weekends on a rota basis, carry a pager and respond to emergency call-outs.

The salary for this role is £26,172.30.

Experience:

Senior Management: 1 year (preferred)
Social Housing: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Enhanced DBS (preferred)
  • NVQ Level 3/4 in Social Care or Equivalent (preferred)
  • UK Driving License with access to your own vehicle (preferred)

  • United Kingdom (required)
