Robertson Bell are excited to be partnering again with this fantastic organisation based in South London whilst they recruit for a Research Finance Assistant Manager on a permanent basis.

This role is responsible for playing a critical role in overseeingthe financial management of externally funded research grants.

The Assistant Manager will work closely with the Research Finance Manager in overseeing the Finance Research team and provide necessary support where needed.

The main responsibilities of the Research Finance Assistant Manager role include:

Managing a portfolio of EU research projects from beginning to end.
Being tasked with troubleshooting across a portfolio of live grants which includes reviewing and proactively identifying any errors and rectifying these.
Assisting the Manager with overseeing the research team and answering any finance related queries.
Assuming responsibility for ongoing learning and development of Finance Research Officers with a particular focus on EU funded projects.
Excellent experience in research finance within the higher education or research funding sector.
Proven knowledge and practical experience of EU funding projects.
Strong communication skills and the ability to handle matters of a sensitive nature with tact.
Exposure to working with auditors and presenting required documentation necessary for audits.
