AtkinsRéalis, Balfour Beatty and Egis Road Operations UK are part of a consortium, creating Connect Plus Services, a unique partnership with a collective strength in highways asset care from finance, through to design, build, maintenance as well as day to day operation.


As part of our 30-year remit to manage and improve the capital's orbital motorway network, we deliver major improvement projects, such widening 38 miles of the M25, refurbishing tunnels and bridges, and installing hundreds of variable messaging signs and gantries, helping to maximise the use of the network and deliver more reliable journeys.

We also manage the Dartford River crossing and operate and maintain 440 kilometres of motorway providing our customer and road user with a world-class highway service.

Role Purpose:

Notifying people of these works is crucial and this role will provide vast experience in a supported, team environment.

You will be a crucial part of our communications team, working on interesting schemes and with a wide variety of people.

We're always looking for new ways and improvements in communication, so this role will provide the opportunity to be creative and trial new things.

This is a part-time role, 22.5 hours can be spread across the week or worked as 3 days. Training will be provided so you are equipped to perform at your best.


Responsibilities:


  • Support scheme communications manager in the development of scheme communications strategies.
  • Updating Customer Relationship Management database.
  • Attend calls/ meetings to gather information and build relationships with internal colleagues and our customers.
  • Arranging and attending Public Information Events.
  • Analyse customer data to feed into scheme communications activity.

Skills & Experience:


  • Experience in a communications role, ideally within customer liaison, press office, or similar discipline.
  • Strong written & verbal communication skills.
  • Experience of drafting letters and communications for clients such as National Highways.
  • Attention to detail, high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to liaise with external stakeholders such as local authorities and businesses.
