The Role


The Corporate Development Director within the Wealth Management firm will identify business acquisition targets and experience with Financial Modelling is essential.


This is a high profile role as the Corporate Development Director, who will be in regular discussions with Business Principals and work closely with the CEO.

The individual must have previous experience of Corporate transactions in acquiring businesses,with an understanding of the integration process and having a network of sell side advisors would be advantageous.


The Wealth Management firm will consider somebody with similar Corporate Development experience within a Financial Services firm, or an individual currently working for an Accountancy firm in Corporate Finance / Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A).


The Corporate Development Director will have a leading role in implementing the group's acquisition strategy and will prepare financial models, presentations, approval documents, assist with due diligence and participate in all key elements of corporateacquisitions.


The Corporate Development Director will continue the firm's acquisition strategy with a mix of smaller bolt-on transactions as well as the possibility of broader transformational opportunities.


The Corporate Development Director will source business acquisition opportunities for the Wealth Management firm, assessing the quality and fit of the business, financial modelling, due diligence and working with advisors to execute the transaction.


The Corporate Development Director will ensure a period of handover to the integration teams to ensure continuity of knowledge, once the execution of transactions has been completed.

5+ years experience in Corporate Development / Corporate Finance / M&A either from buyside or from sell side. Banking and asset management sector regulatory knowledge with high awareness of the regulatory environment in financial services.

Financial modelling experience - essential

Qualified Accountant - essential.

Able to demonstrate deal execution experience.

Excellent written and spoken communication skills with strong project financial modelling, valuation and presentation skills.
