The Senior Transaction Advisory Consultant will be responsible for, and manage, aspects of the Transaction Advisory service offering from business planning, business development, study execution, and team leadership.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Business Planning & Strategy: Create, develop, manage, and communicate the strategic direction of the Business Line. This will include the setting of financial targets for the Business Line, such as sales, revenue, profitability, and chargeability, as well as budgets for overhead expenses, such as marketing trips, conferences, software, certifications, etc. Prepare and manage a business plan for the strategic growth of the Business Line including expansion of current and new service offerings, marketing activities, client retention and acquisition, and staff growth plan
  • Business Development & Sales: Execute the business plan to grow sales and revenue for the Business Line; coordinate with business development managers to identify opportunities and propose services to key clients; assign client relationships to study managers supporting the Business Line; collaborate with sales and marketing staff to develop proposals, collateral and other marketing material to grow the Business Line; develop new, and manage existing, client relationships through client marketing and study interactions; identify new sales opportunities with clients; lead all aspects of proposal development and submission including study planning, budgeting, and scheduling; establish critical project objectives and performances with client; lead contract preparation and negotiations.
  • Project Execution: Facilitate timely, quality, and profitable execution of studies within the Business Line; serve as study director when applicable and quality control leader for Business Line deliverables; accountable for key financial performance metrics within the Business Line; accountable for technical execution of projects within the Business Line. Serve as a study manager as required leading all aspects of study execution including scope, schedule, and budget; ensure quality control of deliverables; analyze and communicate study status, risks, schedule, and costs to all internal and external stakeholders; lead multidiscipline teams of consultants and analysts; plan, organize, and communicate project personnel needs to department management.
  • Leadership: Mentor and train less experienced staff on technical and business aspects of studies and the industry; serve as a recognized industryleader in transaction advisory; support company initiatives; support hiring of experienced employee owners required to grow the Business Line; identify the training needed for staff to develop and sharpen skills related to Business Line services.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related degree from an accredited program.
  • Minimum 7 years utilities planning or Master's in Engineering with 6 years of applicable utilities planning experience or a PhD in Engineering with 4 years of experience.
  • Expert knowledge in standard engineering techniques, principles and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problemsolving environment.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Ability to independently solve difficult problems that require adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures and criteria.
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PPT).
  • Ability to travel.
