We are currently recruiting a Legal Secretary to join a leading law firm in Sheffield.Do you want to work for a long-standing law firm that believes in affordable services? In this role as a Legal Secretary, you'll be working in the family department as the secretary support dealing with their lawyers who cover legal aid and private paying clients.

We are interested in speaking to a Legal Secretary to join the family department in Sheffield, with experience in the role.
Monday to Friday, 9am until 5pm with one hour for lunch.
Salary £22,000 - £25,000 per annum
Generous holiday entitlement 31 days increasing by 1 day each year up to 36 days
3 discretionary days Christmas to New Year

Duties:
- Audio word processing
- Dealing with clients on telephone or in person, to make, cancel or rearrange appointments or to deal with queries, liaising with others by telephone
- Maintain central diaries, e.g., fee earners daily diary, file review diary etc
- Liaising with Courts and barristers as required
- To ensure the confidentiality of all documentation/information belonging to the client or the practice
- General offices duties e.g., faxing, filing, photocopying, any other administrative duties required
- Ensuring that, on completion of a matter, all outstanding amounts owing to the client or due from the client are dealt with within one week of the end of the matter, to permit the file to be closed with nil balances.
- Sorting and delivering outgoing mail
Key Skills:
- Experience as a legal secretary is essential
- Client care skills
- Word processing
- Literate and numeracy
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of confidentiality requirements
