My client is on the lookout for a Design Engineer to join up with the growing R&D department, working on a range of Pumps, Tanks, Boilers and other water movement technology working closely with other engineers, operations and commercial teams to create anddevelop new and improve existing products and deliver them into production.

Key Responsibilities as a Design Engineer:

Work as part of the R&D team to produce exciting and ground-breaking products
Experience working in a 'cradle to grave' type position taking designs through concept into production
Develop technical solutions to suit the requirements of design briefs
Produce working concepts with the use of handmade or prototype parts
Plan and conduct testing to verify the suitability of a solution throughout the development phases
Effective communicator both verbal, written and through sketches & drawings
Produce solid modelled parts and assemblies, fully toleranced production drawings and assembly drawings
Strong Mechanical Design background

Key Skills & Experience as a Design Engineer:

A degree in Design Engineering, Product Design or equivalent.
Good understanding of Solidworks in a practical environment
Practical experience of 3D CAD and PLM systems
Experience designing parts and assemblies for mass manufacture
Analytical & challenging mindset with an eye for detail
Champion of great design
Aptitude for project management; understanding sequence of activities and effectively planning and mitigating risks
