Description
As a Design Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our design & construction projects by co-ordinating and facilitating the smooth execution of various design-related activities.
Your strong organisational skills, effective communication abilities, and keen eye for detail will be essential in ensuring the successful completion of projects within established timelines and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
Project Coordination:
- Collaborate with the design & civils team to understand project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.
- Assist in creating project plans, setting milestones, and tracking project progress.
- Coordinate project activities, including design reviews, approvals, and design document management.
- Monitor and report on project status, identifying and addressing potential roadblocks or delays.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as a central point of contact for internal stakeholders, design & civils team members, and external partners/vendors.
- Facilitate effective communication and collaboration between crossfunctional teams, ensuring clear understanding of project objectives and requirements.
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, presentations, and design reviews, ensuring timely attendance and participation of relevant team members.
- Maintain effective documentation and records of projectrelated discussions, decisions, and actions.
Design Support:
- Assist in the preparation and organization of design materials, including sketches, drawings, survey information both topographical & geotechnical, and specifications.
- Coordinate with external design consultants and clients, ensuring timely delivery of required design assets and information.
- Perform basic design tasks, such as image editing, resizing, and formatting, to support design team members as needed.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure design assets adhere to brand guidelines, technical specifications, and industry standards.
Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to improve design coordination processes and workflows, recommending and implementing enhancements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on industry trends, tools, and best practices related to design coordination and project management, sharing knowledge with the team.
- Provide feedback and suggestions for improving design team collaboration, communication, and overall productivity.

What you will need to succeed
- Bachelor's degree in design, project management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Proven experience in design coordination, project coordination, or a similar role.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in design software and tools, such as Adobe, project management software, and collaboration platforms and Microsoft software.
- Basic understanding of design principles and aesthetics, with an eye for detail and consistency.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and processes.
- Problemsolving mindset and ability to adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
- Selfmotivated, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Salary:
£32,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
