In June 2021, we were delighted to be awarded a grant by the Health Foundation Adopting Innovation programme.

Selected as one of four national innovation hubs, we will work across the system to support staff to overcome the challenges of spreading innovation by focussing upon adapting innovations to their unique local context.

We are seeking a driven and motivated individual to join the Innovation Hub as our core Support Officer.

This is an exciting opportunity that will provide exposure to varied and interesting project management workstreams within the innovation landscape of the NHS.


The Innovation Hub Support Officer will provide comprehensive, high quality, effective and efficient support across the varied range of workstreams for the Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Adopting Innovation Hub.

These services include Children, Adult & Older People's mental health, Forensic & Specialist mental health, Learning Disabilities, Primary Care & Liaison psychiatry, Substance misuse, Social care, Research & Development.

  • To work closely with the Adopting Innovation Hub team to provide high levels of activity coordination, project management and administration support.
  • To lead on the delivery of secretarial and administrative duties as required including minute taking of the hub associated group meetings, and weekly team meetings. This requires regular engagement with the Chair and other stakeholders.
  • Support innovation project phases by updating and maintaining project plans, Gantt charts and task registers ensuring data is captured and processed for reporting and evaluation purposes.
  • Undertake other ad hoc project work as required, researching and producing information to support project timelines.
  • Attend and support coordination of virtual and facetoface workshops across the region
  • Support the hubs coproduction cycle by creating and managing engagement activities and content and collating the gathered data into reportenabled formats.
  • Actively manage and regularly update the hubs social media platforms such as Twitter, YouTube, and LinkedIn, posting hub activities, news, and educational resources promoting the work of the hub where possible.
  • Manage the hubs online website and digital education platform (CitizenLab), creating online engagement activities, updating content, information, and advertising events.
  • Create and produce promotional and marketing materials for the hub such as flyers, online adverts, and associated event materials.
  • Arrange and attend meetings, including booking venues and hospitality if appropriate. To prepare and produce agendas, collate, and distribute all necessary information and documentation, take minutes and action notes as required. Ensure all minutes are issued in a timely manner and ensure agreed actions are appropriately recorded.
  • To be responsible for dealing with enquiries and other communications with a high degree of tact, diplomacy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain annual leave records for the team.
  • Develop and maintain administrative systems to manage administration of training and learning and development programmes and events accessed through the Hub's Culture Club.
