REED Engineering Specialist Recruitment are delighted to be working with a long established successful Engineering Company based in Gateshead.


AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY HAS ARISEN FOR AN INDIVIDUAL TO JOIN OUR MANUFACTURING TEAM IN A NEWLY CREATED PERMANENT POSITION AS A DRAUGHTSMAN.

The main duties of the role will be

Taking a lead on all research and development work:

-
Take ideas from concept to design, being active in the manufacturing and installation:

-
Produce 2D and 3D outputs using Solidworks software:

-
Being responsible to day to day drawing:

-
Taking a project lead on new machine builds:

-
Maintain and liaise with existing customers as well as create new positive relationships with ' potential customers
:

Visiting multiple sites to gain information and to aid design of bespoke parts:

-
Disassembly - sketch and design:

-
Calculations of materials and schedules.


The typical working week will be: 39 hours - Monday to Friday (early finish Friday) and the business offers 24 days paid holiday additional to Bank Holidays with a competitive company pension scheme.
