Head of Business Intelligence - Liverpool

Head of Business Intelligence with team leading and technical experience in Business Intelligence, SQL, SSRS, SSIS & Data storage & data warehousing methodologies is required by a leading company based in Liverpool.

Any experience with Data architectureand cloud-based data platforms such as Azure or AWS would be a bonus.

This is very much a Head of BI role, where you will take full ownership of the BI function. The role offers hybrid working, so 2 days in the Liverpool office, and 3 days working from home

Leading a business intelligence team, you will deliver reporting and data solutions across multiple systems.

As the BI Manager and leading a team of BI Developers, you will be responsible for liaising with the business and helping senior stakeholders withhow they capture, store, and report on data, producing high-quality data solutions, reports, and systems that allow the business to make data-driven decisions.

Experience required:

Proven experience as a BI Developer & Team Leader / BI Manager, managing crossfunctional teams
Strong SQL skills with SSRS & SSIS
Data Governance, data modeling, and data architecture
Database design methodology (Data Warehousing, Data Marts etc.)
Ability to understand frontenduser requirements and translate them into technical solutions
Knowledge of frontend reporting tools e.g., Qlik, Tableau, Power BI
Cloudbased data platforms e.g. Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure would be a bonus
Statistical analysis, predictive modeling & data mining techniques would be a bonus

The role will involve:

Manage the development of the Business Intelligence Team, including crossfunctional teams
Liaise with different areas of the business to help with process changes and offer advice on best data practices
Develop and implement data management and BI strategies that align with business goals and objectives.
Oversee data warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Collaborate with the BI team to design, build and deploy BI solutions, including managing and maintaining BI tools, dashboards, and reports, and ensure they are optimized for performance.
Involved in data analysis to identify trends and insights, and communicate findings to the key stakeholders across the business
Maintain and support data analytics platforms & evaluate and improve existing BI systems
Research new technologies and products to assist in the maintenance and delivery of reporting services
Collaborate with teams to integrate systems
Develop and update Technical Documentation.

My client is a leading company based in Liverpool. The role is due to expansion and part of some big growth they have already in 2023. Offering home working options 3 days a week, they are open on salary but ideally looking to pay between £70,000 - £80,000
