Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:
Head of Impact and Fundraising (and supporting with Operations)

Background

Our vision and passion at FAST London (FAST) is to see young people, from some of the most deprived and challenging backgrounds, succeed in life.

FAST focuses on creating safe spaces with positive role models and providing diversionary and inspiring activities that develop resilience and inspire hope in efforts to achieve this.

We build relationships with young people by engaging with them in environments where they feel most comfortable whilst doing activities they love.

Once relationships are developed, we partner with young people and stakeholders to identify challenges they face and support and equip them to overcome challenges to realise their amazing potential.

FAST is a Christian inspired charity which works equally with young people of all faiths and none.

We take a long-term approach to working with young people from ages 10-19 in the Battersea and South Lambeth area operating in the heart of the Patmore Estate.

The last three years has seen the youth work at FAST double to support over 250 young people in doing amazing work.

This new role will facilitate our ability to effectively measure and evaluate the impact of our work as well as fundraise to enable us to grow our team and work to support over
400 young people a year.

The Role
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head of Impact and Fundraising to join our growing team. You'll be part of a small passionate team and will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer (
CEO) and Youth Work
Work manager gaining unique insight into our work, helping to showcase and communicate our impact. In addition, they will help develop and implement our fundraising strategy.

The primary objectives are to:

  • Lead the design, implementation and improvement of monitoring and evaluation of processes and systems to assess the impact of FAST's work
  • Develop and implement the fundraising strategy with the
CEO to meet fundraising targets for the charity
  • Support with operational activities of the organisation to ensure the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of delivery of the charity's projects and services to beneficiaries.

Due to the nature of the role,
there is an occupational requirement for the post holder to be a Christian.

This is because of the Christian values of FAST as well as the fact that the post holder will be expected to develop and maintain partnerships with Christian organisations as part of our fundraising strategy.

All FAST staff and volunteers have enhanced DBS disclosures and work within strict child protection guidelines.

The staff package includes 28 days (3 of which is taken between Christmas and New year) paid holidays and pension provision.
