About the role.
An opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Treasury Management Officer to join the Financial Management Service.

Reporting to the Treasury Management Business Partner you will support the provision of a comprehensive Treasury Management function for both the Council and associated bodies, and to assist in the co-ordination and direction of the workload within the team.

You will be required to provide financial advice and relevant, accurate and timely information to Council services, using information systems to ensure the councils financial assets are accounted for properly.

You will play a key role in ensuring the council fulfils its Treasury obligations, including borrowing, investment, cash flow management, banking and money market transactions.

This position is essential in managing the risks associated with these activities while striving to achieve optimum performance.

You will lead a small team, providing professional advice and relevant, accurate and timely financial information to support the strategic planning process of the Council.

This position is working in a dynamic and challenging fast paced environment, including building and maintaining relationships with external parties to the council.

It is essential that you should be a qualified Accounting Technician or hold an equivalent qualification and have experience of working in a financial management environment.
